POSITION OVERVIEW

The Customer Service Specialist + Office Assistant is responsible for supporting the sales and processing efforts of the products produced at their assigned location. They must assist in preparing and managing communications, scheduling, and coordinating of products to effectively maximize seed processing time and work to ensure customers have the best possible experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support communications, scheduling, and coordinating of products to effectively maximize seed processing time (ex: seed testing, permitting needs, moisture testing needs, mapping, shipping, etc.)
  • Responsible for managing and processing inventory receipts, transfers, and the conversion of dirty seed to clean bulk seed
  • Communicate with assigned sales team and customers to answer any questions or address needs and gather order information with excellent customer service
  • Enter complex sales orders and make updates as needed
  • Work with other departments across the company to support the needs of the Location.
  • Manage the office at their assigned location – coordinate ordering of necessary office products, ensure facility is kept up to Millborn standards, etc.
  • Extreme ownership of task execution
  • Creatively solve and prioritize tasks and projects to ensure optimal execution
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously with innate ability to shift quickly to higher priority task
  • Provide operational support and coordination
  • Work as a supportive member of the team to complete and relieve daily workload

Other Information

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Work performed is in an indoor office environment and requires the ability to sit or stand to operate standard office equipment, computers and phones.
  • Moderate noise in a cubicle setting must be able to walk short distances, lift and carry small parcels/packages.

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • GED/High School Diploma required
  • Post Secondary Education and/or adequate experience in Accounting, Business, or related field required.
  • Agricultural/Agronomy background a plus.
